History and Purpose
Over the years MSC Open House has become an important part of Texas A&M tradition. What began back in the 1950s as a way to promote programs produced by a handful of MSC student committees has become THE student organization recruiting event of the year. It has also become one of the largest programs on campus with over 670 organizations and approximately 13,000 students attending the two Open House events last year.

For student organizations and other University organizations, Fall and Spring Open House is an essential forum for connecting with students. It's a chance to to reach thousands of students at one time, and for students, it's a chance to see the best student involvement opportunities the Division of Student Affairs and other organizations have to offer.

Open House brings students and organizations together
MSC Open House consists of two separate events, one in Fall and one in Spring. Fall Open House is the larger of the two, with over 420 organizations participating last year. Last year over 250 organizations participated in Spring Open House.

This year, MSC Marketing is making it easier for organizations to connect with students than ever before! Organizations that have completed registration for Open House will be listed on our Participating Organizations page along with a link to their organization's web site. Students visiting the Open House web site will then be able to research various student organizations and plan their Open House itinerary in advance.

Who is responsible for the event?
MSC Open House is managed and produced by the student members and staff of MSC Marketing, but the event is truly a Division of Student Affairs effort. MSC Open House relies on help from Memorial Student Center committee members and staff advisors, University Center, Rudder Theatre Complex, MSC Box Office, and Rec Center staff. And of course, MSC Open House only works because of the cooperation and participation from across the Division and the University.
